Stefan Kubicki

Stefan Kubicki is a Polish and American filmmaker. His debut short, East, was the first narrative film to shoot in the Chernobyl Zone. He earned an MFA in directing from the AFI Conservatory in Los Angeles, where he received the Richard P. Rogers Award, a Student Academy Award nomination, and more than a dozen international festival prizes for Against Night — his thesis film about a cosmonaut haunted by memory. His first feature, Safe Space, premiered in 2022.
